The Surfside Beach Police Department is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for the 2026 Citizens Police Academy (CPA), a community‑focused program designed to strengthen relationships between residents and the department while providing a deeper understanding of local law enforcement operations.
The Citizens Police Academy offers participants an inside look at the Surfside Beach Police Department’s responsibilities, procedures, and training. Through hands‑on demonstrations, presentations, scenario‑based exercises, and direct interaction with department personnel, attendees will gain practical insight into the complexities and daily demands of modern policing.
Program Schedule • Thursdays • 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM • September 24 – November 5, 2026
The academy will be held at the Surfside Beach Police Department, located at 811 Pine Drive, Surfside Beach, SC.
Community members are encouraged to apply and take part in this engaging and educational experience. Space is limited, and early registration is recommended.
