Parents, educators and community members of the Myrtle Beach area are invited to attend Night of Knowledge: Keeping Our Youth Safe on Feb. 19. The event will tackle a growing concern for families and law enforcement alike: products that are legal to purchase but potentially dangerous for young people.
Guest speaker is Jermaine Galloway, who is widely known for his work in substance‑abuse education, and will lead the discussion, offering insights into trending items such as vapes and gummies. Attendees will learn how these products are marketed, why they appeal to youth, and what adults can do to recognize risks and protect their community.
The session takes place from 6 to 9 p.m. at Ground Zero, located at 904 Chester Street in Myrtle Beach. The program is recommended for adults 18 and older.
